The rise in the price of Sheep milk 2015/2016

Sheep's milk that is used for the elaboration of the Designation of Origin (DO) "Queso Manchego" ended 2015 with good figures for producers. According to the agricultural market of La Mancha , in some quotes collected by the 'weekly report on prices in the sheep sector in Spain' of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment (Magrama), the average price of this milk in the period 2015 was 9.84 euros (16.37 pesetas per degree of cheesemaker extract). This price is 4.6% higher than the average recorded in 2014, when it was in hectograde 9.41 euros (15.66 pesetas per grade)
The highest price of sheep milk for Manchego cheese DO coincided with the end of the year because in the months of October, November and December it had a price of 9.97 euros per hectograde (16.59 pesetas per grade ).
